Assapol Cottage is an original and newly renovated Scottish crofting cottage. It has been doubled in size, and is fitted out to a high standard. It offers a superb mixture of traditional and modern living.
Situated on the main road, just outside the village of Bunessan, Assapol Cottage provides the perfect base for your Mull holiday. Ideally located in the centre of the Ross of Mull you are within easy reach of all the local attractions the area has to offer. Iona, walking, wildlife, beaches, pubs, restaurants and shops are all available to you within close proximity.
There is private off-road parking and large surrounding gardens so you can sit out and enjoy the area.The Ross of Mull is the largest peninsula on the entire island. It is approximately 17 miles long and is situated in the south-west part of Mull.
It lies between Loch Scridain to the north and the Firth of Lorne further south. The main villages are Bunessan and Fionnphort, the smaller settlements include; Ardtun, Camas, Carsaig, Knockan, Pennyghael and Uisken.
In Robert Louis Stevenson's novel "Kidnapped", the main character (Davie Balfour) explores Knocknafenaig after escaping the tidal island of Erraid, which is one of the settlements on the Ross of Mull that were affected by the Highland clearances.
